be glad the put it back together. I broke both one time, completely in half, and they just did a cast. I was in that cast from April till November.
I think you'll heal a good deal faster the way they've fixed your's.

Good luck with your case.

Was that the same ride where they reccomended you think twice about bringing a big bike (even answered your question in that regard specifically, if memory serves correctly), told people they would have trouble finishing the route if they did not start real early, told people they were on their own as far as supplies/ accomodations etc. (yet organized the locations for all attendees, and gave you contact info for places to reserve accomodations), informed you of all the gas stops, have likely invested thousands of hours in putting together a cool and challenging route for the participants (let alone the monetary expenses associated with that), and then took the time to sweep the route to make sure no one was left behind in the wilderness needing help?

The private property thing is unfortunate.

I'm guessing the majority of the entry fees went to liability insurance in case someone got injured and decided to sue the organizers.

Sounds to me like you got more riding than you needed to keep you entertained, preplanned and preridden for you, a ton of local knowledge and advice relating to your needs on the trip, a safety factor, and the comraderie of your fellow riders for $60.

I don't mean to sound like I'm being a jerk to you, but all things considered, your comments seem a bit harsh on the organizers.

FuckingHell Ken! That is probably going to leave a little scar...
Does any of the hardware have to come out later or is it all permanent? Hopefully it heals up faster than Rusty's story!

here's some video I had from the Roaming Rally, if you dont mind some indie-pop... I hit the ground a few times but it was in sand or mud so it was a soft landing.
