I really didn't intend to ride as far as I did that day. If I was going for Iron Butt honors I could have cut out a few hundred miles of sharp curves and traffic. Adding a few long lonely highways would have made 1000 miles much easier than what I did.

KILLER ride report dude. im trying to find time to do a trip just like that but with as much dirt as possable. i also want to do about the same miles over 3 weeks, i think i deserve a decent vaction once in a while

Great pictures. Heck, anyone whom travels know pictures only serve to remind us of the endless beauty we saw. And, you have some great reminders. Thanks for all the work of sharing with us. My hat is off to you for riding that bike that far. My old body will have none of that anymore.

Thanks for the recent replies guys! As for riding this many miles, I'm not sure I want to try that again.

However; I always seem to end up riding more miles than I should. Too many places to see, not enough time...
