I had a great time even though I was only there Friday. Next year I will camp and stay all week-end even if I have to quit work. Thanks everyone for a good show.

Radar! Oh how can we forget him. Man oh Man

So for the springs adventurers here is a follow up to the night in the tubs with Radar, Lisa Sparxx, and Player .

Lisa is ok. She got a little hammered on Mojitos & Sailor Jerry. Lisa ended up spending the night at Player's (Claire's) house. They're still BFF and can't wait to go tubbin' again. Radar is roaming the eastern sierras till fall when he'll head to arizona. You'll probably see him in bishop in a month or so. If you ever want to hear some really, really, far out stories just ask him about black helicopters or the mystery crystals of searls lake.

Once again thanks everyone for making this the best WMRS ever. You guys rock!!!

The end.
Ha Ha. I did not expect to get a follow up on Radar, the hot tub regular with one or two springs loose. He was hilarious and it would not have been as much fun without sitting in between him and Playa. Glad to hear the update, though.

So maybe now the submarine jokes can be retired and the Exxon Valdez jokes can begin?

Spafixer gets to ride a V-strom

Joefromsf and I came upon Spafixer with his front flat tire a mile or so from the campground. He got to ride Joe's V-strom and his KTM got to ride w/my Xalp. Ah, the horror, the horror...

Great pics everyone. Matt, you da Man. Your everywhere. Sorry I couldn't do all the riding with all youz folks, looks like too much fun. Next year, I'll be back with a good leg and tires. (the worn out tires were kind of my insurance to myself so I wouldn't do anything to futher extend my rehabilitation.). Thanks Suz for a great ride over, great skillz, great attitude, I'll be your wingman anytime. Glen buddy, thanks for covering us on the food situation, it was nice not having to haul a bunch of stuff. Oh, and thanks Stonewall for putting this together. Hopefully in the future you can make it over to one of my events.

See you all futher on down the road.
Eric

I was up in the Mammoth Lakes area with several other ADV/SDAR guys doing some street riding through Yosemite, etc. Took these pics about 6pm Sunday.

The first 1150 miles were great but the last 180 kinda Sucked

A big thank you to Stonewall for putting this together and to Riverrat for breakfast on Saturday Here are some random pictures I took, after meeting up with my son "NoUse4aName" at the 15 & 138 ramp we headed to National Trails and headed off across the desert. we didn't stop or take pictures until we hit Torona.

Home for the weekend, we thought. We got rousted out by the camp boss because mega motor home who wanted the spot.

Found the valve that fills Mono Lake

A small lake on the way to Red's Meadow

NoUse4aName at a water crossing on the way up silver Canyon

Cool shop at the research station

For some reason anytime a ADV rider came near them they would run to the other side of the pen.

After the ride to the research station we went back to camp and grabbed out gear and headed to Kernville for the night.

The next morning we headed home through Caliente Bodfish road.

With about 5 miles to go to Hwy 58 I downshifted for a turn and nothing but a grinding sound, coasted down hill for as far as it would roll. Used some parachute cord to make a tow line and was drug by a KTM to the Caliente Post Office.

After 1150 miles on a stock TE seat I ended up riding the last 180 miles home in this.

Thanks for looking.

I completely overlooked this ride for some reason. I'm kicking my ass right now. Next year I'm in. However I will be up there in September so I guess it's not all that bad.

a few minutes later.......Upon furhter research, I have never visited the "annual rally" section of this site. :(

Laugh Friday, Day 2

My stradegy was simple, follow Rider914. Dude knows his way around, to say the least. When someone asked where I was riding, the answer was simple, "I dunno, ask Matt".
Here he and Dustjunky discuss the finer points of Black950 ownership, as Design4D looks on and Tahoeracer unloads in the background.

DannyG stages his posse for Casa Diablo as Rider914 and Riverrat hang a left towards Laurel Lakes with Spafixer, Design4D, and me in tow.

It's a nice climb to the Lakes, very pretty. Check out this shot! Very artistic. I bet nobody has done this before!

I tend to wander off the main trail occasionally. Found this possible future campsite.

Once back on the main trail I find Spafixer buried to the axle in rocks with a flat tire from a 16p nail. We helped him get turned back to camp then I headed on up.

By the time I got to the Lake the rest of the crew was in full Kick-It mode.

Time to head on to the next adventure for the day.

WOW!

Riverrat peels off, leaving Rider914, Design4D & me to lunch in Mammoth then look for more fun. We hit some sandy semi-singletrack around Deadman Creek that was fun, especially if you had clean air. A Ranger guy told us we'd find singletrack around Bald Mountain. We found a little but mostly scenic twotrack.

Bald Mountain

If you're in the area, and you see this meadow with those cabins, and a No Snowmobiles sign....turn around & go someplace else. Nuff said.

Time to boogie

Back to camp for some benchracing.

Great Day!
