![]() Here it is. Got a lot of ideas for this one. Starting with crash bars and a rad guard. Thinking i will get the N headlight to use in the summer and for commuting, and swap the mini fairing back on for longer cruising or cold weather |

I just traded my sv1000 for a clean 04 fz1 with 28k on the clock. It's got a lot of nice extras on it for touring which is the direction I'm heading in. I'll post pictures soon but wanted to say hi here.

Well done on the trade. You will have to change your sig line now. I have an '03 Bee and love it. Definately join YamahaFZ1OA if you haven't already done so. Post a pic of your new ride.

Fellow FZ1 owner checking in and saying hi. I am very active on the FZ1OA board, but have been lurking here lately to finds some gear. It is hard to beat the amount of traffic this board gets!
Anyway, keep the rubber side down and ride safe. |

I wonder if there is a next gen due soon - with the crossplane crank from the R1?

I just picked up the FZ1's little brother, a 2008 FZ-6, and I find they share many traits! ![]()

I had an '08 FZ1 and then stupidly purchased an ST1300 for the two up comfort etc and sold the FZ. Had a couple bikes since and always the FZ is the one I look back on as being the most fun. Butter smooth motor, loads of power, and with some comfort mods could be a worthy touring machine.
Unfortunately, I'd only been riding for four months when I purchased it, and didn't even know how to really enjoy it's capabilities. Now, four years later, it would be even more fun I believe. Side note.... The ST was boring as hell. It's been gone for some time. Lots of bikes are boring after the FZ.

If my cunning plan works - i just might get a good used FZ1N to compliment my Super Ten next year. I've had enough of trying to make one bike do it all.

here's my 01 after a 312 mile trip with my youngest daughter to some historical places here in Mississippi. had to go through a few mud holes that had water up to the pegs.
![]() She's got 89k miles on her I've put about 1500 miles on her since I got it. I have to say it's the best bike I've ever owned. I'm hoping to take a week long vacation it it this summer. and yes i did wash it.
