Only European market TURBINE jackets came with the waterproof liner and you cannot buy it separately.

I recently visited the store with my cousin while on a trip to the states from Australia, great service and good advice, I'm glad I listened regarding the size of the Ignition II jacket, now that I have worn it for a month it fits perfectly..

Now that winter is here in Australia, I am looking at the Defender GTX jacket and pants, along with gloves.. 2 questions regarding both.

1. From what I understand, the Defender GTX jacket and pants came out in 2010.. is there any word on REV'IT releasing a new/updated version, such as the Defender GTX II in the near future/when winter comes round for the northern hemisphere?

2. Alaska GTX or Bastion GTX or Phantom GTX gloves? (currently have the Pacific H2O gloves and my hands are freezing!)

Thanks in advance.

Paul, right? I'm glad IGNITION 2 sizing worked out for you. Sometimes you just have to trust me :)

DEFENDER is not going to be revised this year. It came out at the end of 2010, so the model is only about 1.5 years old. I think typical life cycle for high end model like this is about 3 years, so perhaps we will see something new at the end of 2013. You will freeze before then :)

If you want warm glove, definitely go with ALASKA or BASTION. Theoretically BASTION is warmer because it has slightly different insulation, however from my experience they are roughly the same, perhaps because BASTION has more textile panels and they allow heat to escape more than leather. Also think about getting heated grips / hand guards, even the best winter gloves do now work when it gets really cold.

Hope this helps. Regards,

Dennis

I could write a book about this, but here is short summary based on my experience.

EVEREST and HORIZON jackets run pretty similar, definitely on the small side, especially in the arm pit area. I had to go size bigger when I tried the HORIZON. LEGACY fits true to size.

LEGACY and HORIZON pants fit the same, very true to size. I do not have much experience with EVEREST so no comment on how they fit. Cheers,

Dennis

That's right, good memory.. very happy with the Ignition II jacket, will be even better in summer.

I'll head over to my local REV'IT dealer and try on the Defender jacket/pants and some gloves.. unfortunately, it's a little far to go to come visit you..

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

(PS. Sorry for keeping you from lunch when we visited..)
