Enduro up Pig Valley on Sat.
I'll be the one walking around with couple of camera's and apparently helping intermediate riders in the muddy roots climbing out of a native section on a terrain test.

Carnage? What carnage?

I am not letting over-enthusiastic expert club members talk me in to entering the expert class... in a South Island series... that's been getting tougher because people complained they were too easy, like trail rides... after a week of rain... when it's raining on race day... like last year

Getting stuck by traffic on the third gnarly hill climb totally destroyed my energy reserves, it was all I could do to limp home after that. Did subsequent laps on the intermediate track, but I was already rooted. It would have been an awesome ride day to do the expert in the dry, or intermediate in the wet.

Looking forward to the intermediate this weekend. The bike has new tyres front & rear, new chain & sprockets, new front brake pads, re-torqued / aligned / adjusted the front end, new gearbox oil, tweaked the suspension a bit to reduce bottoming - although this is less likely to be an issue at the enduro - so the bike will be ready. Rider needs work though!
