I've been really looking forward to DV again.

my 2 cents

The camaraderie around the campfire was a very cool aspect of the first one. In March when I went back we stayed at Panamint and the whole experience was different. Not as easy to just move in en-mass and take over a whole area for ourselves.

Another thing about Panamint, I don't see how it can be described as
a "central location" not that I mind going over there and back but it is "over there" from just about anyplace in DV.

I've been told recently that the camping at Stove Pipe Wells is a lot nicer than I thought. The tent spces are well out towards the dunes away from the RV's. Just a thought.

On the other hand when we camped at Panamint we indulged and imbibed at the restaurant

ALOT

Anyway I am IN for November.

Sovepipe is where it's at. Tent sites are backed up to the dunes with nothing behind you. Nice showers, pool across the street. Price gouging at the store isn't as bad as Panamint, same with gas. Seems more centrally located in my mind?

You guys hurry up and pick a date. There is still enough time for me to change my DV plans...so I can avoid all of you.

The gas in Stovepipe is only 87 octane. Just not good enough for RockSpitters

Camping there is ok with me though. It has a motel and restaurant.. Just don't ask for your pasta "al dente".... DAMHIK

My bikes require high octane and that's what they get when available otherwise they get what they get. Get it?

Inside out and turning it around gives you at least 4 nights of roughing it

Been to DV 5 times now, and still haven't been over Goler/Mengal or Titus Canyon (it might rain, we must lock gate) It's time to pop that cherry with the NooB crew....

Paging IBMike, to the white courtesy phone please!

We are not considering over Thanksgiving, are we?

I think you've released a pent up demand, Tom. We all had such a good time last year, Eh!
