It's only about 6 miles from the last tag.

Are we near P'burgh?

In general, churches aren't the best of tags. Hard to get a tag on Sunday when all the parishioners are staring at you like a heathen. This one more so. From my google, The Pastors wife passed on the 11'th of May. So tag sensitively. Never would have thought of this myself, but saw a foes pas tag on some other thread. Don't even think of a night tag at a church, with the parsonage usually next door.
Don't mean to piss on anybodies cheerios. Just want to keep us dill weeds in the good graces. And just in case, His.

Clue

It dawned on Lynne & I, from paddling the river, this looks like the church at the take out of the upper LH. Or the put in of the lower. Am I close?

Also, I should have read closer, the Pastors wife passed in '02.
If it is the Church I'm thinking of, they will be very used to tourists.

Go on Sunday if you want, they don't have services anymore. Another hint, it is on the way to one of the 3 entrances to Lehigh Gorge SP.

I posted it close because I am going away for the Holiday weekend and I didn't want to hold the game up. I have seen many, many tags posted with no clues that only locals would know where they are.

Here you go, intersection of Grist Mill Rd and Rockport Rd.
N 40 5.7883
W 075 45.814

Need anymore "local" knowledge?

Yep, that's the spot I know. Nice area. Paddlers out the wazoo. I can't get out for a long ride till Sunday. If you are having trouble finding the tag, just ask a paddler where the take out is for the upper.

That church is used to tourists, on the release weekends, the church lot is full of paddlers. They deal with it very well. In a village named after a very stony & heavy red wine.

Hope I didn't give too much away.

Have a good weekend Scott.

Appalachian Tag sitting in PA

Greetings from the Southern Appalachians. Sorry for the hijack but I thought you all would like to know that the Appalachian Tag is in your lovely state and perhaps you all would like to have some fun with it for while. It sits in the Southeastern Regional thread but here's a link to make it easier. Appalachian Tag-O-Rama

You all seem to be a pretty active bunch and I'm sure the tag will move soon. Have fun! Joe

Here's the current tag photo.

Been there a couple of times but don't recall that mural. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
