Whether that's a private road or not, it's called Big Spring Lane, and the graveyard is down it.

Going from your pic.... it looks to me like the field is posted to keep hunters from hunting in it.

The field is posted, not the road.

As you can see in the tag photo, the graveyard exists. Several of the graves are of Revolutionary War veterans, and little cast markers with new flags are regularly maintained, one marked with only a worn crooked wooden log.

Well, I'm home now. 375 mile round trip. I'm not going back tomorrow. Someone else can grab the tag.

And I had a great tag in Chester planned

Maybe if there's "Posted" signs around,,, it could be said that the road or whatever is open to the public and that the tag is down said road. In strange territory,,, not always a good idea to be wandering down roads that are in question.
Sucks to be that close and find the 'hint' but not the actual tag.

No big deal. It was great just to get out for a long ride.

I'm not riding back a second time. I am annoyed with myself for not being more persistent when I was there. Am waiting for it to move east a little bit.

If I can get my bike back in action by the weekend, I'll go get it. Where in Chester would you like the tag dropped?

I was gonna drop it at John"s Cycle Repair in Sun Village. I've been taking my bikes to him for PA state inspection for more than 30 years.
