Anyone who wants to keep the map ought to PM Skyclad. Wiggus went AWOL, and due to big life changes looming I won't be able to do it, either.

I nominate as new map-keeper any of the FF's who've been PA-tagging for years and conscientiously ignore the endless reminders in this thread to provide info with the grab. You know where you grabbed the shit, you can add it to the map your damned self.

Yeah, I thought it was the drop that was the one that required the documentation.

Question.............Why does a map needed to be maintained of the tags anyways?

To avoid repeating the same drop. But if we collectively forget old drops, does it really matter?

So that if I look at the whole map and see an area that nobody ever dropped a tag,,, I can take it there and expose at least one other person to some place new?

It's been awhile since I've made a grab here, but I can definitely agree with your sentiments. I keep the map up to date in a T-O-R type game in the 570 area code (but that is played on facebook, not here)... It sucks trying to find a place because no one bothered to post the actual location, and you're busy Googling clues... Especially when you've got a few other locations to put in the map with the same lack of information.

In the game we play on facebook, we include an address or gps coordinates when we post the new tag. We don't fiddle fart around with [often] veiled clues and whatnot, like is done here. It makes it sooooo much easier for me to keep the map up to date, and it becomes purely a riding game... Not a 'can you figure out my sneaky clues' game. I realize that a lot of you obviously like this aspect of the T-O-R games... But not I!

I'm pretty active in the 570 area code one on fb, but I've pretty much quit bothering with tags here because I hate having to spend so much time on Google just to figure out where the damn tag is. Forums and the internet are cool and all, but a riding game should be about riding, not Googling IMO.

Okay, rant off, back to studying.

If nobody has any objections, I'll volunteer to take over the keeping of the map. I'm bikehigh on google too, Skyclad, so you can go ahead and give me rights to modify the map.

Can you handle butt heads like me that shun the rules?

Cool! But no thread drama, please. If I forget to post the location with a grab, just PM me and I'll do it (or lose the grab).
