Speaking of recommendations, Bower Road is a legal public road but it'd be a bit much for sport bikes. Of course, C14xTom would tell you it's a piece of cake on an FJR. I've ridden my R1200R up there on Road Attacks, but I wouldn't want to today. The eastern end of Bower Mountain Road has lost it's finer gravel, leaving it a bit rough now.

Fred
Maybe tuff on a FJR. But my C14 wouldn't have a problem. Oh, is this a dare?

No, but I almost had to load it on the Keystoner to get back to Philly.
After getting the tag pic I stopped in Swatara to find a couple geocaches. Then the bike wouldn't start. Battery dead. The starter barely turned over; then went "click, click, click". I figured I would try to push it and pop the clutch. That big pig is hard to push. I got it rolling but then dropped the bike when I tried to hop on the saddle. That big pig is even harder to pick up. Finally got it back up by turning my back to the bike and using my legs to do the lifting. I'm getting too old for this shit!
After a rest, I slowly pushed the bike up a small hill. Put all my gear back on, got some downhill momentum, and was able to pop the clutch and start the bike. I had enough gas to get back to Philly, so didn't stop til I pulled in my driveway.
I used the KLR to drop the new tag.

I dropped my Concouse 14 three times. Same side. In the driveway and garage. Broke same mirrow off twice. Fixed mirrow with glue and back yard mechincs. I never called it a big pig. I called myself a no good rotten bla bla bla...you get my point. Its heavy too.

Drop

Here's the new tag.

This is the visitor center at a southeastern PA arboretum. Its 650-acre grounds include a pinetum, a native woodland walk, and various flowering shrub and tree collections. It is also home to the largest giant sequoia in Pennsylvania.
If the gate is closed and you are unable to get a pic of the visitor center, a photo of this sign by the gate is acceptable.
