Just a quick heads up to anyone going after this tag, the Maryland tag was also moved yesterday, and is just a quick ride down 219 at the state line. Kind of a two for one special!
I'm pretty sure the new PA tag is near the middle of PA.

Not really that close to 219 either.
Not saying it's not doable,,, but it is a little more than a hop, skip and a jump.

The smiley face should have alerted you to turn your sarcasm meters on and make sure they're functioning.

There are some long range taggers still in the game though. C14xTom is one who comes to mind as having done a big multi tag expedition in the not too distant past.

I wondered the same thing when I took the pic. Definitely weren't there in recent years.

You're free to climb the steps, but unless the tower is manned you won't be able to get in to the top. IIRC, there is a large map on a circular table, with an arrow mounted in the middle. If there is a fire the worker points the arrow at the smoke/fire and they can get an idea of where to send crews.

The younger son of a girl I went to school with cut thru three legs of this tower many years ago. He was a guest of the state for a while.

Just the part that is east of Clarence since it is on Township roads at that point. They have maps as far as I know at Newman's Sandwich Shop in Clarence. Food is good there too. If you have any questions about the area let me know. Our hunting camp is in Snow Shoe. One of these days I want to organize a ride for whoever wants to come up so we can ride the roads in Sproul.
