Hey there stranger,
Looks like we might bump into each other at RTWDougs place, I"m just half an hour up the road from his, was thinking to pop in when hes back from his latest little ride, looked at his spot tracker and hes still at the edge of the middle of nowhere. But might still go and drool over all the HU bikes Cheers, Dave.... PS. Has petrol gotten any cheaper in Turkey since I left

Well slap my thigh and call me a thighslapper, if it ain't ol Dave-in-Turkey or Dave-not now-in Turkey. Be great to catch up me old fruit.
Price of petrol? All relative I suppose. Petrol has gone up but so has the pound against the lira making petrol cheaper if you are paid in pounds, or summat ![]() Cheers, Dickyb |

Sorry to hear that, I'm sure there will be other meet-ups at Dougs place from time to time....I dare say Bulgaria may have changed slightly in the 8 years since youve been here lol, the pace of change is rapid from what I've seen in only one year here, apart from the top left up near Serbia and down near the Turkish border, still third worldish in those parts..
Cheers, Dave....

Dont think I have ever seen Terry use tyre levers before .... he must be getting old.
Have seen him change more than enough tyres with his bare hands. Quote:

....................and here's the busy beaver himself. Goes by the name of Andrew Rogers. Tried to ask him the significance of sticking granite sticks in, and doing the odd bit of dry stone walling on, a previously unspoilt landscape but he had bigger fish to fry and clattered off with a few journalists in tow.

Ok, we'll see if this works...pics maybe too big..
My hire bike, and Terry's lovely 650....my heap of shite was drinking oil and overheating, and due to bent forks and bars, had a tendency to prefer to turn right rather than lef- but it was better than walking...just ![]() ![]() The legendary DickyB having a rest... ![]() Then off to the sculptures;

.....................So on to the main event. Terry and I wanted to fly, high, like birds in the sky but with non of the wing flapping nonsense. Main man Andy arranged things, all we had to do was get out of bed at 0430hrs
![]() Now apparently if you try to blow hot air balloons up the traditional way your cheeks will ache so fans are used to blow air in ![]() to get the balloon to stand up the burners are fired up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then with Andy pulling a few ropes and turning the gas up to mark 7 ![]() ![]() it's up, up and away ![]() ![]() with tee bee Terry ![]() to greet the sun ![]() ![]() .............................. |
