Thanks Lefteris. You have been quiet of late. Fatherhood?. I'm sure I passed a Stairway to Heaven when I was out the other day.

Wandering into the kitchen I stumbled across a strange sight. A Frenchman and a German having an English breakfast in Turkey. How bizzarre!!!

Kimingao on the left and KKTOS of this parish were refuelling after an arduous nights camping in Kas.

All along the watchtower................sort of.

"There must be some way up to there,
Said the rider to his steed." Sorry Jimmi.

Fortunately there was.

" Outside in the cold distance
A wildcat did growl"

"All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view"

"Two riders were approaching
And the wind began to howl"

New Year, new day....................

2012 started mild and breezy.

A young lady took a moment or two with her thoughts.

Her friends looked on.

Others soaked up the splendour in solitude.

A nice day for a New Year.

Cheers,

Stunning pics as usual
nice to see the sun is shining, today here I didn't see the sun all day long (and I wasn't at sleep ) it's so dark and raining like showers.

I feel your pain TRadventure. We've had our fair share of crap weather too. Maybe this year that Cap of yours will bump into my gates?

Cheers,

New Year, new jobs.......................

The pups enjoyed their New Year's dinner. Better let the sleeping blighters have a lay in.

Down by the harbour most of the boats had been lifted out of the water for annual maintenance. Either that or we had just had a spectacularly high tide.

Fisher folk were mending their nets.

Wild geese were fending off threats.

Boats that had had their bottoms scrubbed were being nudged back into the water

with the help of the local digger

Under the watchful eye of the Boss.

Better hit the road and see if the fluff monsters have stirred before the weather closes in.

Hi there Dickyb

Greetings from the sunny UK (actually we did have bright sun for the last few days!!). I am fairly new to the AdvRider community and just finding my way around, your story caught my eye.

Having covered most of the shore line from Dardanelles to to Antalya on my boat, I often wondered what the hills and mountains would be like to ride on and you seem to be providing the answer!.

I am at some stage planning to bring my bike over and might give you a shout nearer the time if you are still there.

In the mean time keep posting those blue skies and snow capped mountains. Great stuff.

Hi Rocketfuel,

Thanks for the kind comments. After spending so much time and effort in getting this place sorted we are in no hurry to move so should be here for a few years yet.

Had a look at your links, great stuff. Liked the shot of Meis on your home page. Reading your Iceland RR now.

All the best,

Dickyb

Fiddling on the roof..........................

Good to see the fog lifting, eventually.

Time to check on the pooches. "What was that Lucky Three Legs? There's someone on the woof. Surely you mean roof and why are you wearing one of your ears on top of your head?"

Aha, two pesky scoundrels knicking off with the guttering.

With one of them on the phone to his fence

..........................They even brought their own van to run off in with my rotten guttering. Ooh, hang about! What's appertaining here?

The gutter lads had brought their own gutter factory to replace my tatty old stuff cunningly hidden inside an old dolmus (mini bus).

Cut to length and laid out.

Just got to get it on the roof now. A bit of string should do the trick.

Love it here, every day is a school day.

Later that evening the pooches were making more noise than usual. We found three little abandoned fluffy folk shivering in the hedgerow. Poor babes

Cheers,
