Anyway, tootling about in the Turkish foothills was a tad lacking in excitement for a bloke that had just put 28,000 odd clicks on his 20 year old Transalp's clickometer. Time to look awesome in a suitable venue. How about the Troyan pass in Bulgaria. Sculptures to match sculpted jaws















Overwhelmed as I was by awesome blokes awesomeness I found the horses pretty pretty












Hey chap, no time to linger. Better head off to RTWDoug's place and account for your movements for the last five months






"Phew, made it. Now where was I? Oh yes, so I said to my mum I'm just popping out to the shops for some bread and ciggies and I'll be back in about five months. Then I turned left, then right, then went straight on for a little bit then.................."







At least two Harleys had to leave early

On the way up to Bulgaria three guys pulled in on three bikes







to a site whose permanent occupants were less than half their average age.






Judged a Worthy Cause at the time and a Fool's Errand in hindsight








Somebody had to pay the piper








and heavy was the toll








Cemeteries litter the landscape, occupied by the cast off pawns of a strategic gamble, a calculated risk, a decisive thrust and, ultimately, the physical effects of cold steel and hot metal. Lone Pine is just one such place

So what has Bulgaria to offer? RTWDoug's place offers bikers the opportunity to do what they do best. Drink brews and talk biking bollocks






Hard-assed riders can harden their arses just by getting there








Apparently you can buy a room with a view for the equivalent of a pint of beer and a packet of fags in the Eurozone







Cute villages







are guarded by cuter puppies









Moonlight shadows decorate the night sky







The mountain riding is sublime













But what you cant do in Bulgaria...........








is avoid those bloody Romanians. Look, there's one! Alone with his thought........









At least he had the decency to park a suitable distance away

With no youngsters from foreign climes around it was time for two local old geezers to get a breath of fresh air in our own back yard. Better stock up with survival rations before we hit the high ground. Choccie biscuits and a packet of crisps should do the trick..........






Lots of mellow yellows about.











And wiggly, windy tracks that wended upwards




















Yep, can't beat a quiet ride round the 'hood

So whilst waiting for Tee Bee to sort out what's irritating his watsit I thought I'd take a quick trip to Europe on a Honda

Um, smooth start







Nicer with the volume turned up








Popped into church and got two "Our fathers" and three "Hail Marys" for posting a Ride Report without a Ride








Thought about nicking this one to make it all above board








But missed the last boat







So sat on the dock of the bay watching Rocky Catoon fish







and a local tenderising octopus








much to the dismay of Patrocius the friendly pooch








All in all, a good day in a glass half full kind of way
