Thanks. First tag since August 2011 (this was Tag #26 for me). EDIT: OOPS!!! I FORGOT ABOUT GRABBING THE ITMANN COMPANY STORE TAG IN OCTOBER RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT THE BIKE - OLD AGE! MAKE THIS TAG #27 Bike ran great. At first I thought it seemed a little sluggish until I pulled off Rt 50 west and found I had been heading into a 15-20mph headwind the whole time. Hard to tell with the leaves off the trees. Very smooth on the way home. Nice to be back in the saddle again.

THE MONEY SHOT.

Clue #1 on the bridge.

Big Clue #2 - Historical marker next to the bridge.

Enjoy!

If it wasn't so far away, and I'd had these on during our Black Ice Ride a couple of weeks ago, I might have gone for it. Just didn't have the time.

Just up the road from you. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you can't make it to the Crab Cakes Ride, looking forward to seeing you at the Spring Fling (we're hitting both). I'm pumped!

GRAB!

NEW TAG
Kept the tag in the same county as the previous tag with same theme of covered bridges. This covered bridge is on the western end of the county off of US Route 50. Take the Marshville Road exit and stay on that road until you come to the bridge on your left(about 1 1/2 mile). This one is functional, but has very light traffic.

The $ Shot

Fletcher Covered Bridge aka Ten Mile Creek Covered Bridge.

Info Blurb:
The Fletcher Covered Bridge is a 62-foot (19 m) Multiple King Post covered bridge located near Marshville in Harrison County, West Virginia. The bridge crosses Tenmile Creek is West Virginia bridge number 48-17-03.[2] Stones for the abutments were quarried at the top of a hill near the bridge site. The original building cost was $1,372. [3] The Fletcher Covered Bridge is one of only two covered bridges still standing in Harrison County, the other is the Simpson Creek Covered Bridge. This bridge is in regular use today.

Good grab, iBiker. Nice day for a ride yesterday. Too bad I had to work. I had a job in Morgantown where I had to wear a suit & tie, so riding was out of the question. Saw lots of bikes out. Today, I'm back in Morgantown as organist at church, then lunch with our son, so that shoots today. Oh well, maybe it will still be there later in the week.
