Thumb Flying North... Riding South!

Hi all,

Just thought I'd share my excitement!
I'm flying up North to take delivery of a new to me 2006 R1150 GS Adventure!
Only one very careful previous owner who appeared to dote on his baby.

At least once I have the keys in my hands, I'll actually be able to sleep.
It's been a few years since I had my last bike and the excitement has kept me awake for the last week!
I think I need a Valium!

Anywho, once she's in my hands I'll take some pics and post 'em up!

See you on the road!

That is beautiful. I especially like the back rack (not something I would normally say).
Enjoy the ride and welcome.

Hi Owlie! I"d love to see some pictures of where you take the SE in Europe. I lived in Switzerland for 3 years and rode the snot out of my RT but never made it up your way. Thanks in advance.

Is that the Wunderlich lower seat? That's gorgeous!

Thumb Thanks for the Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Johnny - No it's not a Wunderlich seat. It's an ergo seat custom made by a gent here in Aus called John Moorhouse http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~maddoggy/

I haven't planted my butt on it yet, so can't give you an opinion at this point.

I have a trip of about 1000km to ferry my new baby home in the next couple of days, so I'd say I'll have some strong opinions about the seat one way or the other in fairly short order!

T-shirts

There is going to be a delay on the t-shirts. I didn't find out until yesterday that there is a conflict between AdventurePete's art file and what the printer wants to use. It can be fixed, but AdventurePete's computer is on a ship floating in the ocean. We should be able to get it done in a day or two with shipment around the 19th.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY!

Yeah, I know... I shouldn't have jumped into this project. It never goes as planned, lol.

On another note, I just found out I'll have two fresh weeks of vacation on the books July 1. Any unused from this year carry over. SOOOOO... I might be able to get to Oregon for the SE Rally AND keep my wife happy!

Frenetic Farkling

Well not exactly frenetic.

Other than swapping out the tires this is it so far.

But I do plan on some nice bar risers.

That is all.

Awesome.
And had you not jumped into this project, it might still be in the talking phase.
Looks like you have a new customer.
Welcome Way Cool Dad. What part of Oregon do you live in?
