More transformation...

Being my 4th GSA, I had some stuff on the shelf that was just waiting for this bike and a few new purchases...thanks to ADV inmates!...more to come! TT exhaust guards (repainted black), Pivot pegs, stubby exhaust, WP shocks (front shock w/ remote resevoir bling bling bling), CF hugger, side panels, paralever strut...

By the time I sold my '01 F650GS-Dakar (a special bike also) the dealer (BMW Motorcycles of Cleveland) had sold his allotted 2006 1150GSA-SE. He was able to dealer trade for another one and that is how I got mine.

I added PIAA's on custom mounts attached to the crash bars. I also added Jesse bags, and a few other small things. The bike is nearly perfect as-is and didn't need much.

Is there any further interest for a get-together in TN at the BMWMOA rally?
LOTS of folks are going to the BMWMOA Rally, and I'm sure details of a gathering will be posted here as it gets a little closer. I'll add you to the registry.
Welcome!

Didn't you just buy yours? What did you pay?

Uh, yeah, once you get an '06 you're pretty much not allowed to sell it. You can wear it out, but you can't sell it.
Gotta read the by-laws and the End User Licensing Agreement. (EULA)

For price, I'd say about $400.00, but I'd be willing to give you double for that sweet ride.

You are right, after riding my bike for few minutes last night; I realized how much I love it. I guess I am gonna sell my car and keep the bike..

Yes I bought it in October 2008 for $13500. I had no idea about the bike at that time.

It's still worth about what you paid. They've sold recently between $11,000 and $13,900 (loaded).

Try living without a car for a while. You'll learn really quick if you made the right move! I went for four years without a cage... I miss those times!

I used to know a guy up in the SEATTLE area who only rode his GS to work. Rain, shine or whatever. Pretty impressive.
Chicks dig it too.

I see you are in TX. Going without a car for a year or so won't be that big of a deal. I've done it in the winter in NJ, and many others have in harsher conditions then that. Plus that '06 is WAY too clean for you to sell! Mine hasn't looked like that since it rolled off the showroom!!
