Clock

Possibly a dumb question but does anyone know if the clock can be changed from 24 hr to 12 hr configuration. I have messed with it on-and-off for the last two months or so I have owned it and cannot figure out how to change it...if it can be.

Thanks.

Not disagreeing, but they don't look like the covers on my 1100.

If I can find myself one of these I can do more research...

They've obviously been painted. It doesn't look like a twin spark either.

We'll keep an eye out. In the last 6 months or so there have been 4 or 5 or these things and most of them had fewer than 10K miles. Some less that 5K. They come up.
The bike has soul. You are choosing wisely.

I want to install this topcase useing adapter for F800GS (I have it in my garage), but I wonder if aluminium tail is enough strong to carry topcase with luggage. If You can send me some pictures where and how is it screwed to tail, I willbe very grateful.

How many kilometers You'v ridden with this topcase installed this way?

Best Regards

Apologies Nemo for taking so long to get back to you. You're right, it is a 1200GSA top-box. It was my previous bike and I didn't like it - it had none of the character of the 1150. I kept the rack it mounts on and then had a mate modify it by adding a piece from a shopping trolley and bolting that to the 1150 GSA rack. I've covered 7 K miles since (12K KMs?) with no problems at all.

I'd very much like to pay you a good hot one, daGeri, some day in a refuge, high up in the Austrian mountains
She indeed is an early 2002 (thus single spark), but it's not me who transformed her : I only just got her last month to proudly sit alongside our '06 FJR.
Gonna do some research on her history next summer in the Belgian Ardennes where she originates. Original color was 825 (Weiss-Alu) but I have no idea why she got pimped to an SE-model, even with the shorter first gear. Former owner had no knowledge of an accident but I hope it wasn't cause of one that she got transplanted with the white&blue parts before he had her ... she doesn't feel harmed though so I'm pretty confident on that.

btw : Darrell, is that a Z-Technik V-Stream you have on yours ? I installed one on the FJR and it does a great job on that bike. Is it better than stock on the GSA 'cause I am thinking of replacing Gertrude's screen with one like that ....

Windscreen on Darrell's 06 GSA

Yes it is the taller version of the zTechnik windscreen. I am 6'1" so ended up cutting down the center portion 1.25" and out 8" from the center to the OEM edge giving it a flatter profile. It is perfect for me. Perfectly still air behind the windscreen so could leave a helmet shield up if one rode this way.

Thank you for the feedback, Darrell ... I'm same height so it should be OK for me too then. What did you use to "flatten" it ? Dremel ?
