Huh.

I may need to stop by soon, I'm interested.

Does the shop smith have a lathe? Pics?

The shop smith has a lathe. I refurbished mine and can likely help with your questions and show you around it when you get it. I enjoy mine. At that price it is a steal.

Couldn't tell you what year it is but I cleaned it up and built a stand for it. Runs great. I don't turn wood so I have it set up as a sander. But I have a small shop and it takes up too much room. I can buy a combo spindle sander that would do everything I need. I got a great deal on it when I bought it so I'll pass that on to someone else. Here's a few photos-

Wow, that ones even older than mine... parts are likely still available though and they run forever... if maintained.

HID High/Low H4

I have a DDM Tuning HID kit, high/low beam, single bulb, 35 watt, 6000k color temp (slight blue tint), H4 bulb for sale. It's two years old, has been in my DR650. I removed it today and replaced it with a non-high-beam model because this one was taking up too much space in the very small headlight pod area. There are two ballasts for this model (versus one for the lowbeam-only version). Works fine. New it was $50 plus shipping... how's $20? I'm in Salem.

I keep looking at that and thinkin' "Nice looking bike" and then I see the shaft drive. I just can't wrap my mind around the shaft drive cafe racer idea. I'm not trying to be an azz, because it does look great! Just a weird thing for me on this one, lol.

BMW Shafty

Moto Guzzi also Shafty

Honda Shafty

Etc. Etc..
It is interesting to ride though. When you hammers the throttle the torque through the shaft unloads the rear of the bike as it launches making for a wild ride if you don't know it's coming. Interesting
