I been ripping up some nice dirt and gravel rodes and having a ball.
I mob of us in the Aussie forum decided to do a charity ride for the cancer council. What a great weekend it was. We got about 3" of rain the night before heading off. Didnt put me off even on the anarkees.'

and here is a good way to start getting the clay off the bike

I took a big effort to get the big girl up that hill. You could hardley stand on the muck.

There is a funny story that goes with these pictures. After riding my RT from Indiana to Arizona in February I found myself adventuring off road more and more. A nasty rumor had reached home via the kids that I was thinking of trading my bike in for a newer one which I promptly denied during an in-frequent call home.
It was a little harder to deny when Bob from the dealer called my house and asked my wife how I liked my 2005 R1200GS to which she replied "He doesn't have a 2005 GS he has a 2004 RT". Bob's reply was "I have to go now." Maybe that kind of helps explain why she is my ex-wife.

You're braver'n I am... I too had a Titan Grey RT but I was skeered of dropping it and damaging the bodywork, so I didn't explorate.

I DID wait till 07 when the non-servo GS-Advs came out tho.

HEY! Where's THAT go?! isn't such a big deal any more!

I bought my GS at Iron Horse in Tucson. Picture was taken on Wagonweer Rd. on my way to Crown King. Turn east off 89 below Kirkland Junction. The worse part is the boulder filled stream bed followed by a couple of miles of deep sand.

On a recent trip From Lagos to Dakar and back, we decided to take the road less traveled on our return leg!!!

Its starts with 170km of rock covered dust roads (Did 170 km in 6 hours)

Followed by 250km of gravel mountain roads through the Fouta Jalon Mounts in Guinea

Getting out of Guinea with the reward of seeing the Largest church in Africa, in Ivory Coast.

OMG, are you sure you don't have a twin brother. I worked for 17 years with a guy who looks not a little like, but exactly like you, even wears the same glasses and wears his hair the same. You guys had to have been separated at birth. I can't believe this.
