Taken in July of this year. Yes they are TKC's and yes I did need them. almost 13,000 miles that month for me. the TKC's were nice to have on the 1500 miles of dirt we did.

Here is one of mine from Moab for the Adventure Rider Challenge.

I rode up the Hell's Revenge trail - backwards, with both panniers full of water bottles packed in ice, alone.

Not the smartest thing I have ever done but I made it, and after all that, the only people who were still on the trail were my friends Bill, Chris, Cody, and Shannon. Everyone else had turned around, at least the five of us enjoyed some crisp water.

(Steeper than it looks - blah blah) The bike is resting on the uphill pannier.

Me on my white-blue 1150 and my colleague, friend and the most active member of the czech GS forum on his F800 (not here - http://www.advrider.com/forums/member.php?u=142837 :) ). And other friends on their bikes, of course.

RawHyde BaseCamp Alpha - Sept 2011

Here are some of my favorite shots taken last month at the RawHyde Adventures "BaseCamp Alpha" trip. I also did the 2-day "Intro to Adventure" class beforehand to gain the skills to go offroad. I rented a bike, so this is not a pure "Let's see your GS offroad" - but you get the idea:

Our group in the Mojave:

My friend, Daniel, dropping his rental bike due to my mistake (stopped too fast in front of him on a blind corner):

David's bad drop into a nasty rut. Looks like a piece of GS toast:

This broke the electrical connector on the fuel injector, making this a 1-cylinder for the remainder of the day!

Man I did that once with my GS, got it in a rut like that riding with my wife and I thought I was going to get divorced before we ever got it out of there. At 11,000 feet where you have no strength. That sucked, and is not something I ever wish to repeat.

Is that Alan? I rode Zion/Toroweap with him. Crazy to do that on a Uly.

I was in Barthelona two weeks ago. I hear there's 1.6mm people and 322,000 motorcycles/scooters. I didn't see a single GSA though. Saw an old 1150 gs and a few 800's.

Was in Dusseldorf the next week and was this close to renting a GSA but had some work come up. Weather was perfect too.
