Heidenau's are okay so far. I've had them on the hwy without a problem. I think the TKC's are probably better in the slick stuff but I'm positive I'll get more mileage out of these.

My rear K60 squared off much to fast. I pulled the rear tire to remove the remains of a broken tire pressure monitor and put something new back on the bike even though the rear only had 5-6K miles. Lots of rubber left, but the profile sucked.

The front K60 is not my favorite tire Don't like the feel/handling. To spite me it wears, and wears, and wears. I have a TKC-80 waiting to go on the bike. It may have to be tossed due to old age before the front K60 wears. 11K on the front K60 so far with lots and lots of rubber left.

I do absolutely agree with you. I would even say that K60 scout sucks. Only slightly better than Tourance in offroad but not even comparable to totally worn out Karoo T... Onroad breaking also disastrous, ABS was always on... And all the handling lacks the feeling of safety. The squares then getting damaged easily. Despite all of that, they are not cheap either. After less than 1.000km I switched back to Karoos and passed the Scouts to my colleague. He hates them too.

Edited: Big thanks with the embed lesson to Mr. Head.

Sorry in advance. There's not that much happening but it was my first attempt at videoing on the ranch with a borrowed GoPro. I don't how to embed and my kid had to upload it at T'giving.

I'm gonna give it another go this weekend (the kid is home again and can help me with my new camera) if I can get somebody to go with me to help pick the big pig up when I dump it. Maybe we'll get something more exciting. lol

And yup. The drought here is that bad.

The best off road photos from the last 13 years R1100GS

This is a picture taken basically in the hills behind my place...testing out the new Karoo's

Outback in Oz....the road was closed as a fuel tanker rolled over.....the detour sign pointed along the dingo fence....the longest single fence in the world.....however the sign was supposed to point me to the other side of the fence....not the one that I chose....the local copper towed the camper out for me....

Typical outback road....lots of Emu's and goats too look out for.
