And he is scuffy he likes to ride fast rather then shave and wash, his friends call him Grissly Adams ,as he can tame wild beasts with a look of intense eyes and a wave of magical hand ,

Ivan Erceg

Born: 30 February, 1975

Location: Afak, Iraq.

His parents migrated to Australia in 1977. They moved to Ivanhoe, NSW and bought a milk bar. Ivan enjoyed his younger years, at the age of 9 learning to ride on his fourth hand BMX bike. He saw other kids riding their motorcross bikes among tha salt bush and he wanted to be like them. He fashioned a helmet from an icecream bucket and a motor from a football card in the spokes...he wanted a big bore machine so he placed a card in the front AND a card in the rear spokes! He won every moto against his three year old brother!

Sadly Ivan passed away from injuries received in a crash at the Australian Safari.

He was a real character always friendly and will be sadly missed by many.

2009 Safari

In 09 he rode a KTM... Scared the hell out of Fifi Box with a run around the Bivouac on the back of his bike.

Taken at the presentation dinner, 2009. Even though he rode a KTM, here he was showing us his true colors.

A true character gone. Ride on Ivan.

RIP Ivan

I had the amazing fortune to meet and spend time with Ivan when he and Craig "Whitey" White came to Costa Rica to participate in the 2013 Offshore World Championship fishing tournament - with Ivan backing him, Whitey took Top Angler honors and their team Shimano West Australia Open finished fourth overall against the best big game fishermen in the world - he is a legend and appears well on any podium regardless of the competition.

Heart felt condolences to his family, friends, and all those that had the chance to get to know him...
