So, did the material used on the GL's change? It looks like at the first of the thread, its made from heavy cordura, and now it made from some sort of slicker glossy material. Am I right? Can you still get one made from the older material?

It fits nicely on the KTM 950, 990, BMW F800 and most Ducati machines as well - guess I should start another vendor thread for that product!
Sign me up.....

Thanks Wachs!

Dave,

Some of the aftermarket tanks for the DRZ/KLX400 have a high filler neck on them as well. The 4.25 gallon Acerbis is the tallest (Brad had one on his DRZ). The IMS 4 gal on my KLX is sorta high and bends the seat some. Pic:

Still may not be as high as an XRR. If you or H.O. want to see the bike "in person" give me a call or PM. You know where to find me.

Stuart

I have some tank panniers on my xr600r's 6 gallon dessert tank and really like the idea since they are less in the way than a tank bag and can carry a lot but they are pretty poor quality, would love to see you guys make some, or maybe a tank loop, kinda tank pannier/ tank bag combo?
kinda like a giant loop waterproof version of this?

I think it will work...

Gaint Loop 'Coyote' bag mock up.

I've used this bag on my XR 650 R and it stayed put under HEAVY abuse. There still could be a exaust issue when loaded down. However, thats the goal to not take too much. I'll report back after I go for a test ride.

Do the new and old both attach the same way... By bolting them on?

Question Tank Bag

Hey Wachs - Any progress on the tank bags designed for the after market tanks with the tall, stump-like filler?
