Well, no more Kwame Kilpatrick.

Now who is the next douche bag to continue Detroit being a dump that will never get cleaned up.

Don't be so negative.... It can't get any worse!

Actually, I was surprised he agreed to jail time.

I think Ken Cockrel might be good for the city. He knows everyone will be scrutinizing his every action and won't try anything messed up.

GL to him and all the GOOD leaders of Detroit.

In moto news...when's the next Oakland county dirt road ride? I need to learn me some dual sport riding.

640 Adventure question...

Anyone have the factory racks for hard cases? I just ordered the rack from an online dealer and need to know the the diameter of the bars so I can order the correct mounting system for my new (to me) Touratech panniers.

Hopefully I'll have the rack and other bits installed for my trip down to MotoGP.

Ack! Even in the virtual world Detroit is broken.

Blue or Red or BRP

So should we have taken the blue or the red pill?

And now for something completly different.

I ask the Detroit area folks who have done this before.

Am I insane to think I can make it in one day from Detroit down to the north end of the BRP if I stay off the slab once I am on the other side of Toledo? I'm thinking, no problem!

I guess I am looking for a - yeah, I've done it - no sweat type of an answer rather than: "Well Doug, it depends on ..."

Anyone, Buehler?

My son and I are leaving from near Jackson early next Friday AM. Is there a caravan started from this area yet?

Yes you can, but it will be a good 10 hours starting on 23 south of Toledo al the wa to Swannanoa VA near Staunton. I think it would be a hard ride because you would be hitting the mtns in WV after you have been riding all day. If it were me would stop in WV at night, like in Buckhannon and do the 2 hours of hard mtn riding in the morning fresh.

Not that I am one to talk, back when I lived in Va Beach I would party with friends till midnight on a friday and then drive to snowshoe WV for snowboarding and be there by 6am saturday, then sleep an hour till the lifts open at 7. But that was in a car and not on a bike.
