I'm pretty sure those are for cappuccinos and lattes.

I've been lurking along, thinking I really needed to make an effort to get out and ride with some of you guys.

Then I saw the pic of the bike hanging from a tree.... Damn...he knows how to crash!

On a different note - anyone here going to Trailfest in Moorsetown?

Not really a "big bike" oriented event, but it is a blast. You get to ride some of the event trail from the Jackpine, a great lunch is available in greater downtown Moorsetown, an even better dinner included. $20. Camping at the staging area. You can find more info here:

http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/sho...d.php?t=182763

or email mike@nationalenduro.com (no...that's not me)

I am not sure yet if I am going or not - am thinking I will if I can wrap up some stuff before then. But if I do decide to, I will post back here.

Mike

So Mike, is there single track near Lansing? How long is it?

Is it private land?

If it's not Big bike friendly do you have to have a SOS plate ? I read it & it doesn't say .

It is big bike un-friendly...especially with saddlebags.

'640 , ' fool

The event is indeed a trail ride. Its not a dual sport oriented event. Located between Lake City and Houghton Lake staging from the Lansing Cycle Club's club grounds. No where near Lansing.

No plates needed. Some road bits or two track here and there for connector - but road shoulder legal in that area.

Some of the event will be on public ORV trail, some will be on private land which had some of the Jackpine Enduro trail on it this year and in prior years. Some of that will be TIGHTevent only trail - bar banging, tree whackin tight. ...yes, you could get a 640 down it, you will be earning your keep to do so - but would be doable (maybe?). But, to me, it would be nearly impossible on something like a 950 etc. (though I would love to give it a try just to say I did! anyone have one to loan me? ).

Dunno if anyone else here is going or not - but I will be at Trailfest. If anyone from ADV comes as well, look me up. Dark Green Ford Excursion, towing a small open trailer. You can guess what color of bike I am on. Weather is looking great for the weekend!

My bikey no workie I have do a carb rebuild because the damn float needle is sticking. I've never touched a carb before. Damn small ass parts in that thing. Let's see how my monkey paws fair against it. Now it's just a matter of finding the time to pull it.

If anyone is available, Jason and I are hitting up North Missaukee on Sunday. Truck is leaving sometime in the early morning, and we do have room on the trailer.
