That looks like fun. I don't think I'll be ready for that one, but I am looking forward to entering a scramble in the summer of '13.

On another note, I have been banging my head on the electrical of this bike. How do I tell what V.Reg I have? I see no part # on it. It's an MXC model, but a light kit was added.. kick and electric start. I just got finished running a brake light switch and I was going to run a 2012 headlight/fender, along with a Trailtech Vapor. It appears the head and tail are powered from the yellow wire out of the reg, and the lights wont work unless the bike is running. (no link to battery) I may need to pop the cover off as the PO installed a new stator.. not sure on what got installed. Im thinking there is no DC. The battery is only for cranking, no charging circuit to battery as well. Trying to get this puppy signed off street legal for next season. The tight gearing and big sprocket make for a fun wheelie.

Factory stator is the common AC/DC variety they all had prior to the FI bikes. All the lights run off the AC side and the DC side charges up the battery.

Mike at Sicass Racing can hook you up with what you need to get it all prepped, give him a ring.

Awesome! Thanks Bruno, Looks like he is going to be open on Wed. Looks like he's got everything I need. Does he have a store front open to public on Dixie?

You were right. Lots of goodies in there! Got the 400 all suited up for street legal, and now sporting a 2012 headlight and fender! Ill have a cop sign off on it tomorrow and grab a plate for it. Not that I really need it right now, but its just easier since I dont have to work..... I should have bought studs for the tires while I was out today.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!

Happy New Year! Can't wait until the white stuff melts and we see each other on the trails and roads again.

I don't suppose anyone semi-locally has a Garmin Zumo 550?

My microphone in the car base appears to be not working, but I'm hoping to confirm it's the base rather than than GPS unit. I tried an external mic on the moto mount, but that didn't appear to do anything, which I find rather confusing.

Bruno, did you ride yesterday and did your lake freeze after the first snow fall?
Spent a good part of yesterday pulling a friend's snowmobile out of our lake. Our lake froze before it snowed and the snow is insulating the ice so we have hidden thin spots. Another friend was drilling holes to check his lake and fell thru. Both lakes skinned over before the first snow and kept them from getting thicker.

I drilled 4 holes and got about 4 inches on each, Jim. There's not much snow on top of the ice.

I'll drill again on Friday before heading out to plow the track. If i'm on the fence at all, we'll have to give it another week.

Edit . . At 120 feet out from shore, it's only about 4 feet deep, so that's somewhat reassuring.
