Not to Hyjack the DTW Thread, but the story has changed:

KTM President Stefan Pierre will sell his approx 14.5% ownership of KTM to the Indian firm Bajaj that already owns about 47% of KTM. So they take now a controlling interest of KTM

Stefan will take the cash to buy Husky from BMW, he is also said to be taking a few engineers with him to Husky, rumors are he gets Husaberg too. Lets see how this pans out.

Come to think of it the KTM's seem to have the same color as currie. Perhaps not too bad, buy a 990 get a free Tata Nano.

Tata bought Rover & Jag. And yes, as far as i'm concerned, Land Rover has lost all of its appeal. Not because Tata bought it though, the big sunglass boulevard poseur era was already well underway when they got involved.

Bajaj Auto is rumored to be interested in acquiring more shares of KTM [they already owned 47%], that's not news though, they've been doing that for quite some time now.

I'm not sure what the loss of Stefan Pierer will mean to KTM, i can only hope the brand continues to bring to market
the awesome products it has thus far. I also understand businesses need to do whatever it takes to make a profit, even if that means selling scooters and poseur trucks to big sunglass wealthy hipsters.

I could care less who owns what, just give me what i prefer to ride/drive.

I'm fond of the black and white one myself. Pick this one up a few weeks ago, and it's enjoyed a total of one trip around the block so far. Just waiting for the day that they finally come around to plow the street, but will most likely have to wait for the sun to come out enough to melt the ice.
