I was talking to an inmate in Atlanata. A group of 8 guys had Jimmy Lewis fly in and put on a riding clinic. If you don't know who Jimmy Lewis is, he's the former editor of Dirt Rider, as well as a Dakar competitor. Jimmy has a reputation of being quite a rider on a big bike. I have seen him ride first hand, and he was pretty dang fast on a BMW HP2. He's quite amazing.

Jimmy lives out west, NV I think. But I guess he is willing to travel if there is a group and all the details can be worked out.

Anyone interested?

I posted this over in the Central IL thread also.

Good stuff.

I've been following the Dakar rally since '94 (Speedvision). But for some reason I've managed to miss all of the daily recaps for this year's rally. Bummer too, because it looks like Honda has put together a factory effort this year -- and I've been a fan of Honda products since my first 3-wheeled ATC back in 1981.

But as I tried to catch up on some of the rally updates I've discovered that I like my Honda's as I like my steak....
