Don't buy that thing Steve. They are shakey. You can't back up with them and the straps need to be more spread out to the outside corners of your bumper. The problem is when you turn the bike wants to roll sideways and the front tire gets loose in the holder. I tried one back in the eighties and my friends bike fishtailed and highsided itself. It was sad and ugly.

Have seen my hitch hauler? It uses a rail across the back of my truck. I have a second unfinish one just like it if your interested.

I have no intention of buying one, it was more of a joke then anything.

Does anyone know of a "Trans Michigan Trail" type network ? I'm not looking for gnarly singletrack, but rather dirt/gravel roads. I guess I'm too lazy to go through all 600 posts to which the search feature leads me. GPS tracks would be nice as well. Many folks seem to be doing this in many states, but I've not seen one for Michigan.

There's also the UPAT that Cannonshot on this forum put together. Search the Ride Reports forum for it, he kindly posted the GPS tracks for the route for all to use.

Big favor - anyone have a 8.9mm shim kit (new 350 xcw-f)?

Buddy and I got into a valve clearance check today thinking the bike would be OK since it's new, and of course it's not.

Obviously can hit the shop Monday, but if someone in the metro area had some shims that he could buy, my garage would be cleaner sooner

Interesting. Just did my valves last thursday on my '13 350. @ 450 miles the Intake and Exh. Were @ .003". They must be way too tight from the factory.

Mine were OK when I did them a few weeks ago, Brad's bike not so much.

Might just Amazon them if nothing pops up tomorrow.

Magic in Shelby has Hot Cams brand shims in stock. Half the price of the KTM ones.
