I purchased a BMW GSA last May; my wife had been riding the KTM but not enough to justify keeping it. It I sold it I wanted someone that was going to ride it and enjoy it. I'm just glad it was someone local.

Excuse the mess in the garage.

So VG44 can you give me a comparison of the two big adventure bikes? I sold a 1150 GSA last year and still havent filled the void. I take it you like the GSA over the 990? I hear that the KTMs are like the sportbikes of the dirt but very maintenence heavy. I like your 1200 btw, love the fuel mileage on the big tanks.

I am looking forward to the impartial comments regarding BMW vs KTM.

BMW 1200 GSA. A plush fancy couch.

KTM 950/990 A more dirt friendly couch.

Both require balls of steel to ride on dirt.
