Pick your brain...

Alright boys, I went to get a ORV sticker and I left the store without it and even more confused that I was before.
The moto store here in town is saying that I need both the $26.50 sticker AND the $10 sticker. I was under the impression that we would only need the $10 sticker since our bikes are street legal.

Please advise.

yeah, you'll need them both if you are riding on any of the ORV trails... doesn't matter if the bike is plated or not. The only difference between plated and not plated would be on "Designated ORV routes passable by a conventional 2-wheel drive passenger vehicle" (i would assume this is just a forest or dirt road with route status) or on a frozen lake.
Here's a link to a chart that spells it out:

Thanks for posting the link to the chart. I had not seen that before. I am concerned, however, that people might have different opinions of what is, or is not, "passable by a conventional 2-wheel drive passenger vehicle."

I'm in Warren. Got a bit of a weird schedule but I ride as often as I can. Haven't done much group riding since all my old buddies with 70's UJMs moved out of town, but I did enjoy the downtown Detroit ride last year. No UJM for me anymore, though, I beat up on a DR350SE now.

Where will you be leaving from? I'm headed up late Friday night as well. You riding the 350?
I'm working across the street from the Oakland International Airport in Waterford, MI. Departure is shortly after I get off work at 7PM. Kendon trailer with bike will be in the upper parking lot at Tech Care Suspension. Yes, I'll be taking the DR350 with a fresh set of TrakMasters on. I'm using a Focus to haul all my camping and riding stuff up north.

Aw yeah..what'd you get done to the DR suspension? That is the weakest point on that bike I think other than the weight.

I'll be leaving probably around 10 pm woohoo.....food service jobs. I'll probably bring my DR as well. I haven't ridden the kx for more than 30 minutes at a time so I'm not sure how great it will be for a full day of riding. The legality of that bike is pending inspection.
