Flying up to Frederick like a dog

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry Bucho. Okay I now understand the way to make the picture appear here. I recommend the tour when you are in the sidecar. I Double Dog dare you to get this one.

Head North

I just happen to be down in MoCo for a few appointments and decided I'd grab the tag. This next one I've got will be a great one for this weekend!

So if you come in from Thurmont, expect a few more cars but pretty nice roads and great scenery. Coming in from 15 you'll see next to no one, a few little patches of gravel (careful) and GREAT scenery. The Mink Farm direction will be gravel roads which are tons of fun and have miles and miles of road to go get lost on. Whether you get the tag or not, I encourage you all to check this place out, its great regardless of what your mount is.

Ride on and stay safe guys!

Believe me, few tag photo locations are truly difficult to determine. Take it from someone who has accurately mapped the vast majority of our tags without first visiting the sites in person.

It's code's call as to whether or not this photo counts as a valid claim. Either way, let's try to stick to the rules going forward, please?

Well if it makes any difference, the only place I saw the sign was right next to the road, during rush hour. I was a little hesitant about pulling my bike up on the sidewalk at an intersection at that time of day.

Nobody wants to see any other player get hurt, although from your description it's evident that you were looking at the wrong sign. I'm about 99% certain that the correct sign faces the other cross street, and is actually safely in the church parking lot.

Eek St. Patricks Tag

So there are two identical signs, with a night photograph. Can't see anything in the background to give you a point of reference. Hmm, I think St. Patrick would give an exception here For safetys sake don't ya know lad.

My 2 cents...there are two signs, one very hard to photograph and one very easy to photograph. Part of the game is not only to figure out the location of the tag but where at the site the tag placer set up their bike. I've rolled up to a couple of tags and thought, "what was that guy looking at?" So I take a look at the tag picture again and try to figure it out.

I will say this, a lot of times the actual tag shot is somewhat boring by necessity. Its nice when people take a few extra pictures and throw in some history or other relevant commentary. I've learned a lot playing this game...mostly useless information but at least I'm a little smarter.

One more thing, if you post the actual street address with the captured tag, it probably makes it a little easier for the person to enter all these on the Google tag-o-rama map.

Glad to have you new guys on board, you're doing good.

If we wanted to nit pick shouldn't it also be at night? I think the spirit of the tag was maintained, game is moving, lesson learned roll on...
