Doh no tag yet? And I rode right past Fremont (which is were I think it is) but didn't have directions with me - figured someone would have it before I got back from turkey dinner. And I was warm(ish)

I know where it is...just don't have the nads to go get it today. The fact that it was actually snowing factored in.

Yeah, but he had them only momentarily

But really... it must of been quite a marathon... almost the stuff legends are made of....

Had a chilly 100 miler today. Glad to see it even paid off!

I'll post the new tag after I go hug the woodstove for a while.

Very Nice 800 you have there! It was right about there yesterday that my heated grips 9and half the other things on the bike) crapped out. It was along, cold ride home without them!

So, did you do it?
That would actually be a nice break-in ride for the GS.

It's the Fremnont end of the Rockingham Recreational Trail (the parking lot end). I was trying to find theis great, killer link about it but just a bunch of crappy ones that you can Google yourself. It's an old rail bed that you are supposed to not get off of and some of the side trails are clearly blocked and signed. Even still, there is a remarkable range of terrain over it's 12 miles from sand, to loam, to hard pack, water crossings whoops and even a jump or two. None of it is terribly challenging but it gives you a good idea about how a new bike or new tires will handle in varried situations. Except rocks. Of coourse EVERY other trail in New England is paved in rock so there is always that.

Yep, Fremont end of the Rockingham trail. On Rt 107, just south of town, right before 111a.

I wasn't actually sure which end the original pic was from, but I looped through Fremont at the end of my ride today. There was no way I was going over to the Derry end at that point if it wasn't it, though.

A nice excuse to get out for the afternoon, in any case.

I have to go check through the thread because I just had a bad feeling that my primary tag might already have been used. In the meantime, here's a nice shot from a stop I made today. It was a beautiful day to be out.

Nate, love the new ride and the upside-down ski doo hippo hands. You should change the right one to say "oops".

BTW, NE, I didn't ride the Rock trail. Didn't bother to shell out the $$ for a trail sticker on this bike, considering that the RR is really the only thing they give us to ride for it. Did ride a good bunch of Class VI and a shitload of dirt roads today, though. I like this bike more every time I ride it. It did better than I expected on the Class VI, even though I was a bit tentative since I don't have crash bars or handguards yet. Or knobbies. And I was alone. And it was 20 degrees out. And I've only made one payment on it so far.

So far it does what I expected it to do, better than I expected it to do it.
