Not on my '10. I put 30mm risers on, and everything is solid mounted.

^^ Looks a lot like the TKC80s. Little less agressive. I like it.
What do you guys think of the Pirelli Angel GT tyres? The prices I have seen in the US is a lot less (almost 40%) than what I paid for the Scorpions here in Aus. Sent from my GT-N8020 using Tapatalk 2 |

The Angel's are great tires. They stick well, wear well, heat up quickly, work really well in the wet, and generally don't do anything weird. My brother had multiple sets on his FJR before he sold it. Just don't go very far off road, if at all, with them... |

My interest is in getting away from the frailness of the Scorpion.

It's really great to see the demand for the Multistrada. Every time I walk into my local dealer they're closing the sale on one. Hec, look above at those placing orders on them, the momentum continues to build, as do the number of converts, including those from the Ducati brand itself and within the Multistrada model range.
They really are fun motorcycles.

Here's a pic after I installed my 30mm risers. They are at the bottom, between the OEM risers and the triples. There's no rubber anywhere. It's all solid mounted with a single (long) bolt going through the whole lot. ![]() ![]() -SM

Not sure then. Mine has a rubber mount that goes inside of the stems that run between the bars and triple tree. If you look at the parts explody it is shown as item 10 on drawing 21. When I had to replace my bars, the rubber mount was inside mine as the drawing shows.

I had to comment here because I am 6'-7" and 300lbs with a 34" inseam and I have a 2011 MTS 1200 S Touring. I have the stock windshield and like many others found the lack of wind protection off putting at first. I have since installed a set of Aztec spacers to push the stock shield out at the top a bit and I installed a Wunderlich wind deflector at the top of the screen that deflects the wind just enough to get it up and over my head. I don't really like the look of it to be honest, but waddayagonnado? I tried a tall VStream shield but it wasn't much better so I kept trying stuff and this combination was the best I could come up with. I am circus freak size so pleased that the bike fits me at all ![]() Here's some links: Aztec spacers: http://www.motorcycleinfo.co.uk/inde...pageId=5092871 Wunderlich wind deflector: http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/mot...e/8110025.html Here is a pic of my Wunderlich the day I installed it. Note that after playing with it I have since moved it to it's full down position which looks marginally better, but at least it works so it's a trade-off: ![]() Another mod I did this winter that you should probably consider is installing the heavier 100nm rear Ohlins spring. I did it myself by following the directions on the UK Ducati site here: http://www.motorcycleinfo.co.uk/inde...pageId=4678916 Other than that I have not had to do much else (lower pegs or change the seat, etc.). The bike fits me fine, even for long rides. I have done 12+ hours with no problem (with fuel stops of course). Enjoy it and hope this helps, DD |
