Hows about one stop shopping for your navigational links, sound like a plan? I hope to put together here a place for both hard copy and digital reference material. I have a few links from over the years, and will start posting and categorizing over the next couple of weekends. If you have any suggestions or links that you would like added, please post them up. I will add everything that I can to post #2.

So, in the mean time, you need to go stock up on printer paper and ink. Don't forget to charge the battery in the GPS.

Very nice! I have been following your threads and will probably do some exploring into WV in the spring once I rack up some vacation time. Will PM you to get the GPX of the WV Trail once I get a 60CSX. Good links!

Nice work, but definitely not in Ride Reports... maybe it's best suited in Trip Planning. TP mods will decide to keep it here or punt it elsewher.

I have no clue but, the DOT maps for each of those two states are available for free. The links are provided above. They do at least show the non paved roads. I doubt a true mostly off-road route can be had.

Maps of Western NY

This looks like a great thread, thanks!

FYI - The AAA prints detailed maps of both Western NY Rochester and west, as well as The Finger Lakes Region -- free to members of AAA. (They may also have one for the Adirondacks.) These maps are highly detailed showing virtually every road in the region covered. They are excellent for planning day-trip routes. I particularly like to use them with my Garmin stuff - in the tank bag map pocket they give the "big picture" (about 20 mile "diameter") while my Zumo gives me details. They also let me consider alternates to the Zumo automatic routing, or guides if I'm creating a new route manually.

Im still looking for these for PA, NC and other eastern states. I like them better than the Gazetteer Maps because they seem to have more detail and they are easily folded in my tank bag map pocket.
