XR600 Valve Adjustment
Ok I am on my second XR600 (since it was the best bike I ever owned.) Unfortunetly I am still on my original shop manual. It goes up to 97 and my bike is a 2000. My brother made an odd statement today. He says that he read somewhere that they changed something with the valves towards the end of its years. (I find it hard to believe that they ever changed anything but graphics but...) The claim is that the valve clearances are different and that the rather simple process had been complicated great deal.
Anybody care to explain this or just inform me that my brother smokes too much crack? I think it's the ladder personally.

That's news to me too. I'd be checking with a decent workshop, then asking your brother where he gets the good drugs from.

Hey, i just got me a 95 and the valves need attention. I just ordered the service manual, but could someone give me the valve clearance spec (cold) please so I can check it out?
Thanks in advance
