After lunch we eagerly departed for Wagoner Road, one of my fav's. JD found this one the road along the way.
Can you believe that thunder storms blew in on us!! Lightning flashing all around us, thunder echoing through the valleys, this was one time I wasn't too happy to be on top of the mountain.  Actual rain fell from the skies!

Our planned route took us down a spur off Wagoner Road, that unfortunately turned into a single track hiking trail.

Baby buck on Wagoner Road.
 We stopped at the Minnehaha Mine and Matt had a little braking problem. Don't worry, I stopped him with my 950.  Just finishing off the hard part of Wagoner Road.

The group split before Kirkland Junction. JD, Glenn, and I jumped FS94 up to Trails End and Mike and Matt slabbed it up to Prescott.
The ride up through Trails End was freaking awesome! Lots of grassy two track and just a couple short knarly sections thrown in to keep your attention.    Palace Station, mere meters from Senator Highway.

We hauled ass up the Senator Highway to Prescott. No time to stop to take photos.
I was running on fumes to get to Prescott. All that mud had taken a toll on our fuel consumption. From the gas station, JD and Glenn headed for the hotel. I made the long trek back to Phoenix. 221 miles total for me, about 125 of which were the run from New River to Prescott. I can't wait to see how the rest of the ride went! Ride safe brothers!

, Terry what can we do without you ?? Sorry J.D. we couldn't catch up to u guys i wished u called me before Friday , i was soooo ready to meet with u guys early Saturday , but u called late that morning  and we weren't even ready by the time we got to Camp Verde it was 4:45pm & my buddy's DR had a small carb issues ... that was a crazy ride u guys
