Thanks for all the help and for the tips Terry. Also thanks for not beating me with a stick when I ran into you while driving with my head in the clouds. It was great fun and you were great company. This ride report was totally awesome!!!

AWESOME Vids and Pics!
Nightstalker,
You guys ROCK! I've been keeping my eye on the Flea Market looking for my first DS bike. I was hoping for a clean local bike, but I see that may not be a good idea. ![]() How do you guys avoid punctures? |

Here's two tips to buying your first dual sport bike, especially if you want to ride with the A list:
1. Buy something that is light enough to pick up, repeatedly. 2. Buy something that is reliable, but already a little beat up. That way you won't feel as bad while you are picking it up, repeatedly. Then ride it as much as you can! tz Quote:

REAL sorry I missed this ride. Looks to have been epic. I low sided into a cow while riding solo last weekend and just got the new bars on yesterday. Still too bruised to have done that Friday though!

Well, Glenn, Julio, and I officially survived day 3. It was hell, but damn fun. I just got home at 945.
I won't spoil the upcoming details, but the verde river is breathtaking by moonlight. More to come...

Awesome Ride report as usual Terry!
It was another great ride planned by JD as his farewell Arizona ride and as you can see it lived up to it's name; "Blessed Hellride".
Terry- Awesome job as usual with the photos and vids! I had to watch some of those vids over and over again. I got a serious workout with those damn bags on my bike! It didn't help that it was 95 degrees out too! Matt- You did awesome for a fairly new dirt rider! ![]() And to think we talked you into not turning back right before the water crossings began....... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Glenn- It was good to meet you and I look forward to riding again with you soon! Julio/Cyberdos- It was great to meet you too and you did great also especially since you followed JD and Glenn through the rocks up to Young when I pussed out this morning and took the scenic route! JD- Once again, an awesome ride plan from start to finish! It has been great riding with you and I hope we can ride some more before you leave town. We need to show Julio around a little anyways .....

I had to split off from the group after we came down the mountain from Young to make my Mom's 69th birthday party. I did not get to do the last leg with JD, Glenn, and Julio.....
