back on topic. JD and Glen, I'm amazed at how well you guys throw those big pigs around. I kept shaking my head every time Glen would catch air on the whoops.

The water crossings exhausted me to a point where I'm really contemplating doing excersise to get into shape. The Verde River crossing nearly put me in a comma!

You all are heros in my book and I'm honored to be riding with you.

So, that being said....when's the next one? I think I can now lift my arms over my shoulders.

Thanks again for joining us, Redeye. It was a fun trail and provided appropriate challenge for the theme of the weekend.

I wish I could make the ATR Payson ride, but I'll be in the flatlands (OK) by then. Picked up a gazzeteer today- virtually no topo lines in the whole book. All roads are N-S or E-W.

terry. yo buddy pal. how the hell are you?!?
guessing, hoping you healed well.
about the last time i heard from you was before i helped load your bike into your truck at the end of the pb500, after your spill.
way to go, take the whole family adventure riding.
hope you and the family are adjusting well to the left coast.
haven't got to all of this thread yet. you guys have another recent traitor, i mean implant from the east coast. cyberdos, say hi to julio for us. we don't really miss him, so just saying hi is fine. maybe letting the air out of his tire at lunch would be kind of funny too. excellent rider learning the ways of the adventure riding along with the rest of us. great guy who i am sure would love to explore trails with you and learn of some of the places you have already discovered.
ride safe brother.

I'm using a Canon Powershot A720IS. My first camera with optical image stabilization. I will say that I believe that this camera takes better pictures than any of my previous Fuji, Sony, and especially Pentax cameras. I typically get about 1-2 years out of a camera that I use on my rides, this one has been holding up well so far at just under a year of use.

I shoot the videos at 640x480 30 frames/sec. The real trick is whatever smugmug does with the compression. They substantially reduce the size of the file while maintaining excellent quality.

Total upload size for all the pictures and video I took on day one of this ride was 1.2 GB! Unfortunately, I was on a crappy pirate wireless connection, so it took like 13 hours to upload.

Not that anyone cares, but my camera is a shitty one in a waterproof case. I mention this, because my WHOLE BIKE and all items attached went underwater this trip!!! Just ask Glenn and Julio. I was pretty nervous afterwards.

I was glad to have a waterproof camera.

Life is great, AZ rules! I sure do miss riding the PB's with all you guys back east though. But, after riding around out here, well, there is no substitute for AZ!

I'm looking forward to dragging Cyberdos down some trails. If he can last through a day with Glenn and JD, he'll be fine riding with me.

Hey Ray! There's no salty water out here! You should retire and move out here. You could ride all day every day and it would take you years to run out of roads and trails!
