anyone have any recommended routes around Hiawassee GA

Hey everyone,

In a couple of weeks I'll be heading up to the GA mountain rally in Hiawassee GA. I was wondering if anyone had any routes they cared to share for the area? I will have a couple days to ride around up there and was hoping for a few suggestions. Thanks.

Look at TET-S

The TET-S route goes near Hiawassee... you might want to look at it to loop east over toward Dillard then north up near the smokies, then back west on other routes and finally back down to where you started.

I second TET-S. I've ridden portions and had a nice time on a big bike. There are also a bunch of tracks available at www.dualsportmaps.com in that area. Some are a little more technical but most are forest roads that are well maintained.

Instructions:
Click on the link above. Then click the "search map for tracks" button near the top right corner of the map. Then click the top left corner of the area you want to search, then click the the bottom right corner and it will return all the maps in the bounding box. I've posted a bunch of stuff from the area because it is my backyard, but many others have posted stuff too.

Also, put a note on the DOGs thread in the Southeast forum if you want to try to ride with some locals.

I am ASSuming that you want dual sport rides.

Here are two I put together... both are great rides.

Look me up at the rally, I will be the guy with the '67 Honda Trail 90
