What kind of mileage are people finding they can do in 1 day? I am planning on heading down and doing part of it 2nd week of Sept, is 300 miles in 1 day possible? When I get home I will post what section I am doing.

On a wet hot day, riding the pig. I would have a weeks worth of camping equipment. I would fall over in the lot after 200 and moan. beer......somebody.........please get me a beer.

Please note, I did not get pictures or have lunch in either scenario.

200-250 is a nice target.

Chip,

I'll be up in the Pence Springs/Alderson area Mon-Wed am of this next week. Which direction on the TWVT should I go?

The misses just took a job in Alderson so it looks like we'll be moving soon from the Asheville area. She'll be at work til 4pm so if your around I'd love to ride.

Thanks

Travis

Forward, of course.

Seriously though, you are in a good position to taste the good, bad, and ugly. Run the blue and green double figure eight between Hinton and Watoga if you have to meet the Misses that night.

If not, roughly one days ride South will get you in position to buy me a beer, stay in Pineville and I can figure you some different loop back.

Then of course, you could head North, not too far and you are on those top gear forest service roads that EVERYONE seems to enjoy. No, never mind, she might not see you for a few days if you get a taste of that.

Forward.

Chip,

Thanks for doing all this work it's awesome. I guess per your advice I'll run the Hinton/Watoga 8 that you suggested. Oh and is there any of the "ugly" that you were talking about in there?

Beer next time, I have to work at the m/c shop later on in the week so limited on time.
