Great idea Greg

Here are a couple of my 1987 TA:

116,000km, goes like a train
Ohlins rear shock
Progressive front springs
320 fully floating front brake
Pro-taper fat bars with risers
Barkbusters
Alloy bashplate and chainguard
Crashbars

Can't claim credit for most of the mods, but I've done some of them and want to do a few more.

I love it..

Wonder if this will ever be repeated??

can a traitor post?
I sold this trusty old transalp after about 15 years...
alloy bashplate (raised as much as possible by grinding a few finns from the bottom of the motor)
ohlins rear shock (awesome)
moorhouse seat (excellent)
progressive fork springs / revalve etc
replaced the rubber tripple clamp mounts with machined alloy bushes - transformed the steering
renthals, barkbusters etc.
front guard raised with spacers (after it clogged with mud on the blue light - first and only real crash with the wife on the back - slid all the way down a mongrel greasy hill with no steering before droping her in a puddle at the end)
lots and lots of scratches (memory marks)

I even convinced another doc in town to buy one - call him DR TA??

it's a 94 model grey import- has the light weight and nice motor of the 600 but a disk brake and better fairing, hand me down pannier racks that were originally built for my transalp god knows when. The locals did a group buy on the motech bashplates. Great bike.
