This looks like a lot of fun. How does it work? Are you grouped by bike? Age? Experience? Or do you just ride all you want to?

I looked at 2014 rules and it talked about "open trail hours". Is this all day?

Thanks.

So here's how it goes.. Sign up in advance by pre-registration or show up the day of the event and hit registration. Pre Reg ususally saves you about 5 bucks a day! the cost is the same if you ride one day or all three day!

They have a riders meeting each morning. Twice a day each in the AM! At that time they give our a Colored sticker for your helmet. Trial Opens as soon as the riders meeting ends. Go ride till your heart is content. Its approx a 25 mile loop. Milage varies a bit each year. They will have several Single Track ONLY options off the main trail. The Trail Starts at the Camping area and Ends at the Camping Area! Each day you get a different colored sticker to prove you attended the riders meeting. At the Trail Head they will check your wrist band (showing your paid your registration fee) and they do check your sticker (showing you attended the riders meeting.)

Based on Conditions they close the trail from around 3 to as late as 5pm. Your welcome to make as many laps as you feel you can safely. Friday they run the trail clockwise. Saturday the switch it around and run CCW then switch it back on Sunday to CW!

The beauti of LL is that you are never more than 5 miles or so out from the campground! The club (MTDR) have a great system for running safety on the trais. They do a great job of making sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time riding!

There's a separate area for PeeWee's and even a Beginners Loop! My 4 yr old will be on is PW50 this year!

Hope to see you there!

Jeff

Are these the same trails that were used during the Suzuki Dual-Sport events back in the 90's?
I was there for the first one, and like seven or eight more.
Had a really good time and would like to go riding there again sometime.

Please be aware that the MX Track is closed during this trail ride and strickly OFF LIMITS!!!

You may notice some of the trails as being the same from 20yrs ago. Thats because there's a portion of the Main Trail that circles the ranch. It gets used for many different purposes.(Our event, Horse Back Riding, Side X Side Events etc) However, the actual riding trail varies from Year to Year!. I've been going for over 15yrs and its been a bit differenct each and every year!

Look forward to seeing some new faces this year!!

Closer? WTF Man it's a 986mile ride one way for me & I've been making it down for either the Spring or Fall Trail Ride for 15+yrs! For about 8 yrs we always got the banquet award for farthest traveled. Last couple yrs a family from South Florida has beaten me by the same 42 google earth miles and that's just fine !

It does help that my family is from the Memphis area & so we do make it a two week family vacation!

I think I'm the only one from my group that ever pre-registers. Most of them never know what their work schedule is gonna be like until that week.

We always try and have one in our group go up early to keep our same spot in the lower lot. There's only one Power Pole in that lower lot. Everyone and their brother tries to run and extention cord over to it as it's a first come first surved! Being I have a rather Large Motorhome I want to plug into something and NOT have to run my Generator all the time!

Last year the kids didnt bring their fishing gear and were pissed as the kids camping next to us ate fish almost every night!
