Wicked Tag 780

This house was built in 1799 and was later occupied by a congressional representative.
This house originally had a string of 200 log pipes to bring water from the spring to a collecting pool.
Located in a county that was formed in 1771

The tag definetly saw some action today, While waiting for the rain/hail/lightning to stop I changed where I was going to place the tag to here from the sand hills.

Great ride, stayed off the BRP due to LEO's and my lack of restraint to ride such a great rode at 45mph. I think I should be dry by thursday for the trek to Wilksboro for dinner. GPS even took me on a few miles of dirt rodes.

Dinner in Wilkes? Is this a bike dinner or something else? I seem to have moved to the area between the two taggings and don't see too many bikes other than Harleys here.

Found it too. About 190+ miles from me via superslab or 210 miles the more interesting way. Too bad I don't have time to chase. Keeping my ACTG skills sharp though. Have fun.

This will be like looking for a needle in a Haystack.
Might go for it after Devotion.

Just wanted to check without reading 1000 pages.

File photos are ok? I know this was discussed in the very beginning and I dont' recall what was determined, seems like using a file photo takes the fun out of it. Otherwise, every time I got a tag I could use a picture from the NC/TN line and keep you guys coming west to pick it up.

Rules are on Pg 1. File photos are OK to set a new tag. They actually make the game more fun in my opinion because you can make a sneak attack into flatland territory and throw the new tag back in the hills. We've seen some pretty long punts thanks to the file photo. Keeps the whole state watching and helps the game from getting bogged down in one region. Most of us are too busy to ride for a tag let alone for the new tag to place. The best taggers will have a file tag ready so there's no delay waiting for the new tag to chase. That keeps the game moving and the ACTG'ers entertained.

Nice grab there panamamike. Where are we headed to now?

Searching the thread with keywords about the tag is a fairly good way to prevent retagging. I think there have been several tags repeated. I have done it. So its no big deal, just an advantage for all of us that recall the tag from the photo.
