You'd think that with only 92K + miles without any issues but a deer strike (and subsequent frame replacement), that a Triumph would be MORE reliable, but there you go. I guess the problem of a fast idle could be worser
Had that problem with the Bonnie when I got it. It would hardly idle when I got it, then the idle/throttle started running away from me at random times. Keep in mind I got this bike less than 24 hours before starting a two week road trip. I would back off the idle adjustment screw and it would be fine for a day, then back to chaos. Anyway, it turns out that someone had kept cranking up the idle adjustment screw trying to get it to idle from a 5yr storage. As my Seafoam was doing its magic, it was opening up the carbs, and occassionally allowing it to idle like it was set. The scary part was when it would run away from me while riding, not idling. I felt like a Toyota owner. I'd have to pull the clutch, kill the engine, and pray nobody was behind me.

Easy fix in the end. It's crap like this that makes me really hesitant to go to a fuel injected bike. Carbs are an easy fix on the road. Fuel injection problems give you headaches for months.

If the fuel injection system has feedback from an O2 sensor it could be an air leak with the injectors trying to balance the mixture out.

Grab! I warned you hillbillies! Now I'm heading to Lincoln County, but this tag may be heading East.

Well now. You are TAGGIN on the western front and Mrs.Donkeys is TAGGIN in the on the Eastern TAG game. Seems that if you include the ABC game, the Hacks are in control of 3 TAG games.

Nice job.

Dangit! Glad to see it moving though. I was afraid my border tag was going to sit for a while. Luckily for me..and MrsDonkeys...I decided to take off for a 400+ mile day today. Sitting in Greensboro now contemplating a file tag or dropping it somewhere tomorrow. My sister is trying to woo me into having lunch at school with the nephew and niece tomorrow, which would make me miss the 24hr deadline.

Tag

New Tag.

Once home to a swinging resort hotel frequented by northern tourists, this lake is now privately owned...and in desperate need of a new damn. It is currently isolated from the highway it borders until the 250 folks in the community can surface the funds to repair the damn.

Tag Shot:

Clues:
Taken without moving the bike, with a major US highway lurking in the background beyond the damaged road/dam

And if you really need a clue

Two years, and still no resolution.
