Welcome to the fun .. my home town .. and yep, it's a larger park footprint than "they" let us have access to .. there was talk about greater access early on, and there are some short hiking trails, but then the "budget banter" made it obvious that it was another land-grab that locked down bank access to a nice stretch of the Mayo River, though "they" did "save" that historic picnic shelter from eventual ruin .. most of the rest of the private property surrounding the park (again) became unavailable for future purchase .. them country folk a right particular about holding onto the family farm(s) and hunting property (which you can guarantee the State will not allow access to if they ever got their mitts on it) .. nice place to take the kids to learn ride their bikes in that parking lot though .. which is what most of us use it for ..

Tag-a-Campout

So, anybody up for another ToR Campout this year? You might get to see Chad drown in a tent again.

I wouldn't call that little thing he has a tent.
Let's do it! Cabin fever is killing me. Been looking
at new tents online anyhow. Pick a dry weekend in April.

I'm not picking if its April. I won't be back for a bit. We did it in September last year if I recall.

I don't care when it is done, but looking at all the upcoming events in Spring/Summer got me thinking about our little Uhwarrie campout. I think it deserves repeating, no matter when it is done.

Hey guys,

Who has the burgandy SV in Fayetteville area with an ADV sticker under the license plate?

I was in the Ladder Truck (fire truck) and honked at you at Cliffdale and Rim Rds.

Suzuki SV650 Burgandy or dark red and silver frame. I didn't know who it was either but honked the air horns just the same.

If its got a place to hang a hammock I'm game. My only tent is our 6 person family tent. A bit of overkill on the bike....

And I would say that's just right. Then again, I've got a Giant Schnauzer that takes up half the 4-man tent I camp with.

lost marbles sold his DR650 a few weeks ago. I should have bought it! If you see a nice running DR650 for sale south of $1750 let me know about it.

I like the amount of room, but its a bit of a challenge finding a half acre of cleared forest for this thing:

More importantly, will you train my mutt to ride bitch for me?
