A nice waterfall just down the road that you walk behind.

Other waterfalls in the area

And, one a few states away from last fall

Soggy...........yes it was............. I was riding a few miles east on 215 Saturday. If I could have read your mind I would jogged over and waited.

For the waterfallers out there, the 'walk behind' waterfall in Sidewinders' pics is Dry Falls and worth a visit. Just downstream from Dry Falls on the same road is a popular swimming spot at Bust Your Butt Falls ...

and further down from there the heavy flow Cullasaja Falls.

Lots of folks on bikes checking out all of these spots today, great riding!

Just plop Highlands, NC in your GPS, and when you notice you are under a waterfall,
Stop.

(Yes, I know that the road doesn't really go under it anymore, but right beside it. But come on, you can still see it)
I found it on the CBR, have the pic somewhere.

(seriously though, it's on 64 a bit before you get to Highlands. That's about all I remember, and I'm too lazy to google)

Sure thing. But to simplify life, from WCU head south on 107 to Cashiers, and then west on 64 through Highlands to Franklin. From 64 in Franklin head north on 441 to Dillsboro and Sylva and you're back at WCU. The falls pictured are all on 64 by the roadside. Cullasaja is a bit tricky because the road is very narrow at the viewing spot with blind turns at both ends, but it's a spectacular spot in the fall.

From WCU, head south out by the stadium and cross 107 and head out 1001 through Speedwell. Just follow that road across the little gap into Macon County and Ellijay and until you hit 64, Make a left and run east up the mountain. the overlooks will be to your right, Dry Falls to your right (park and walk down to them, Bridal Veil to your left (old road bed runs under them). Take 64 on east to 107 back to WCU or a little longer, 64 to 281 at Lake Toxaway and then follow it back down by the lakes through Lil Canada to 107 at Tuckaseegee.

The ride down 64 is pretty awesome. I try and go to Waterfall land a few times per yr.

Take hwy 64 from Franklin to Highlands. This places the scenic views on your right side so you can see much better.

While you are in the area, Whitewater falls is nice as well. Highest waterfall on East coast. Also, there are a few very scenic falls in the DuPont state forest. Hunger Games was filmed here.

Heck, there are waterfalls everywhere you turn in this area! I love it!!!

Pine creek? Where can that be? Is it time for me and my friend Glen to visit my daughter at WCU again? And a little Robin told me about an egg he left a little farther west of Sylvia too.

I thought I would give this a little bump from Pg. 3 and apologize for dropping the ball. I know exactly where this is (I think) and it is killing me that I can't make a run for it. Where's Aarrff and the other Hillbilly regulars???? Even if I did have the time.... My wife has my bikes blocked in with a china cabinet restoration project in the carport and it seems to have stalled out. Makes me wonder if this is premeditated.

Since we are in an intermittion.

Just some info for anyone interested.

My neighbor is getting out of bikes and selling all three of his street bikes. ( I already got the TTR 225 from him) He wants to do the Jeep thing with his kids.

He will be sending me perticulars on the 3 bikes but here is what I know.

Suzuki SV650: Copper in color and in great shape. He has to clean the tank and get rid of old gas. Been sitting garage a while.

Ducati super sport : Red looks to be in pretty good shape

Honda RC51: different body panels a street set and a track set.

If anyone is interested let me know and I will forward information to you.

I may need to go back and retrieve this tag soon!

I rode right by the new drop location on the way home.

The current tag is getting as stale as an east of I-95 tag.
