kayaks

Kayaks?

Way off topic but I know a number of y'all kayak. I'm looking for some recreational kayaks to use on Douglas lake behind my house. No need for whitewater, no need for expensive. The longer and tougher the better. Just went out cruising in the neighbor's kayaks bumping over logs in the water etc and really enjoyed it. I can find some at Dick's brand new for around $200 but surely someone knows someone with these things hanging around in the way...

PM me so as not to further clutter the game thread if ya know something I need to see.

Thanks

Buy a used Native Watercraft Ultimate 12. It is hybrid yak with a seat you can set in all day.

Buy quality, it only hurts once.

OW! too much hurt for my needs and budget. Plus I think I'd like the ability to add a skirt for cooler weather kayaking. Searching around the local sporting goods stores I see between 9 and 10 foot lengths are reachable.

Thanks borther Aarrff. I wish I could have taken advantage of the weather a little more. I got done with a little yard work and installing a 15 tooth front sprocket on this thing after normal work and about 10 after 8 last night I noticed no one had grabbed the tag, it was just to close to me not to go. I'd have taken it further but more mowing is calling. Didn't you call it green death? I'm stealing that term.

I think it's been tagged before but oh well...this is the beginning of a NFSR so its basically broken pavement to get here, street bikes need not be ware. Or you could be brave and come in from the other side, in which case would involve miles and miles and miles of gravel.
NEW TAG
The Hint...

The Tag....(Anywhere on the bridge will do)

I am so old I can remember when that particular bridge was not there, nor the interstate Used to sit up the road there when I was about 12 with my Dad ( my trail machine had a Briggs engine) and watch the interstate construction from way up on the rocks...also what we now know as Hurricane did not end where it does now but went on down to near this....good tag. I have a busy weekend so won't be going but somebody should and enjoy the fine riding in that area! Edit...another thought then I will be quiet...we used to have a longer walk down to the famous overlook on that road. The current section of road was rebuilt not too many years ago. If you look carefully at google maps, they actually marked the old road bed and if I remember correctly, if you look above the current road at or near the spot of the rope( for those of you who know what I am talking about) you may still be able to find the old path leading down there from the upper road bed....just sayin...

yeah I know where it it, just constructing a sentence with the klew in it.

since the closest route Google Maps finds is 4604 miles & 87 hrs, I probably will be looking at a later tag to go get

Well last time I checked the hack had 2 axles not 3. It does have 3 wheels though.

I'm pretty certain it's 3 axles - a trike has two

That depends on if it is a symmetrical or an asymmetrical hack. IIRC
